CBT for Illness: Using CBT Skills for Disease Related Anxiety

ID: 5734WEB

This workshop will provide clinicians with the necessary tools and techniques to help clients and caregivers make meaning out of a life-altering illness such as cancer, HIV, or heart disease. When clients and caregivers are informed of life-altering illness, the question of “Why” is often rhetorically asked. This question can raise existential angst. For some, thinking of mortality or the pressure to now “seize the day” can feel overwhelming. This workshop will provide clinicians the opportunity to guide and support clients through these evidence-based techniques to improve their coping.
