A Review of Evidence Based Practices and Optimal Treatment Models of Complex Trauma

ID: 5871WEB

This is a full-day webinar. This webinar will present an overview of single event and complex trauma, including a discussion of different types of traumatic events. The participants will learn about the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder diagnosis and the limitations of this diagnosis for treatment. The impact of trauma on the brain, attachment, and disrupted attachment appear to give us more information about creative and innovative strategies to treat trauma than diagnosis. A brief review of the meaning of evidence based practice and its use in the behavioral health field will be examined. A more in-depth look into treatment models such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Thought Field Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Self-Regulation Competency will be discussed. *Attendees must attend the full day to receive a certificate of completion.
