As an individual who works with the senior population, you may need additional knowledge about federal, state, county and community resources that will enhance the quality of life for this segment of the population. This webinar will provide information on seeking resources and an overview of resources such as financial, health, housing, nutritional, and recreational programs. You will also learn the importance of networking and the elements of making effective referrals. Participants will actively engage in discussion to share resource information. In addition to being a therapist, Donna Gapas has presented at National conferences and to general audiences providing training on topics of Aging, Leadership, Addiction, Crisis Intervention, Family Dynamics and Cultural Diversity. She was a part-time lecturer for ten years at the Rutgers University School of Social Work - teaching courses on Adult Violence, Human Behavior, Social Welfare Policy and Diversity and Oppression.
She is a trainer for Adult Protective Services certification courses for the State of NJ. In addition, she is a trainer for the Institute for Families at the Rutgers SSW specializing in topics related to gerontology, family therapy, leadership, cultural competence and clinical skills. She is currently in Full time private practice in Lebanon, NJ.
