Supervision in Uncertain Times: Challenges and Techniques to Help Keep You & Your Staff Safe

ID: 4788WEB

Many professionals assume some risk as a part of the job, but in doing so may overlook steps that can be taken to maintain a safer environment for themselves and their client. As stated in the NASW Guidelines for Social Worker Safety in the Workplace, social workers are working in increasingly "unpredictable and often unsafe" environments. Sometimes apathy or familiarity may impact how aware we are of just how unpredictable our environment can be. During this workshop we will explore questions of ethical obligations for supervisors regarding staff safety, implications of violence in the workplace as well as ideas for helping to keep employees safe. What would you do, what could you do? *This webinar does not qualify for NBCC clock hours in ethics.
