Whether you are seeking to advance your career and expertise or just starting in your profession, training from the Institute for Families at the Rutgers School of Social Work will help you meet the diverse challenges facing today's human service professional. Our goal is to provide training opportunities in a wide range of areas in order to disseminate key knowledge, build leadership, and ultimately strengthen professionals and organizations.

The workshops offered by the Institute for Families are approved for continuing education hours by the:

  • NJ Board of Social Work Examiners
  • National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC- provider #6389)
  • NJ Department of Education, (approval code #1965)
  • Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists and Professional Counselors
