Senior Moments Redefined: Mindfulness Practices for Older Adults and Their Caregivers

This workshop blends the latest scientific research about mindfulness and its effects on the brain and body with activities, games and practices that have been proven to resonate with older adults and are modified to accommodate people of all physical abilities. These practices will also reduce caregiver stress and offer caregivers new methods to foster relaxation and support in the relationship between the caregiver and the person being cared for. Participants will practice these activities and leave the workshop with a variety of resources that they can apply in their professional work with seniors and/or their caregivers, as well as within their own families.
