ID: 5230

LGBT youth have higher rates of mental health issues, substance abuse issues, involvement in the child welfare & criminal justice system and represent half of the homeless unaccompanied youth population in some cities. Participants will begin to understand the origins of negative outcomes, preventative strategies, suicide prevention, LGBT terminology, and provide local and national resources.
