Working in the Here and Now

This course explores the theory and practice of the Here and Now technique, in the experiential process-group format. The course content encompasses several opinions on theory and technique all related to the clinical approach of working in the Here-and-Now, whether in individual therapy or in groups. Working in the Here-and-Now is a specialized clinical technique useful for assessing, diagnosing and strengthening ego-functioning and treating mental and emotional disorders that interfere with intimacy, relationships and self-advocacy. Course clinical content comprises 2 hours of experiential process group discussions illustrating key concepts of articles related to working in the Here-and-Now. During these discussions members are exposed to techniques and theory by witnessing and participating in the techniques. In addition there is supervision on applying the Here-and-Now to clinical cases. This program is appropriate for all skill levels.
