Social Justice Practicum: Promoting Grand Responses to the Grand Challenges for Social Work

This two-day webinar is designed for professionals in human services, criminal justice, education, and related fields. In this workshop, participants will advance their knowledge, apply core values, and improve professional skills related to promoting grand responses to the Grand Challenges for Social Work. Participants will enhance their understanding of how these important issues impact the world of the clients they serve. Participants will also develop specific strategies to promote individual and family well-being, build a stronger social fabric, and create a more just society. The webinar will be experiential and make use of several interactive exercises, storytelling, case studies, videos, and group discussion to enhance the interactive learning experience of participants. The webinar will be skillfully facilitated by an instructor who has more than 20 years of preparing students and professional to engage in careers that promote social, economic, racial, environmental, and criminal justice.
