Growing Through Grief: Considering Loss Across the Lifespan

Grief theory has come a long way since Freud and Kubler- Ross. We now understand better ways to assist grievers to not just ?accept? or ?resolve? their loss, but to actually grow through it. In this workshop, we will review classic grief theory, discuss new developments in grief theory, and then consider the unique challenges of varied losses in multiple age groups from infancy through older adulthood. We will also consider how these experiences can be leveraged to promote growth. This workshop, led by popular Rutgers professor Judith McCoyd, is not about death, but truly a life-affirming way of thinking about the human condition.

This workshop does not have any offerings for this semester.
