Incorporating Cultural Competence into Ethical Decision Making

This interactive workshop will explore several different perspectives regarding ethical decision making. It will examine the role of cultural competence in making ethical decisions and outline how the social worker can synthesize ethical decision making and cultural competence into their practice. The workshop will utilize varied learning methods including short lectures, discussions, case examples and interactive group activities. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to identify cultural competence issues in several areas of their work and how to apply ethical decision making models to guide their practice. *This workshop does not qualify for NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors) clock hours in ethics.
